imagining landscapes is a choreographic environment in which sensing and moving bodies can enter a relaxed state, allowing to collectively imagine - and imaginatively construct - the ever-changing forms and dynamics of landscape. Using movement, language, and sound, it proposes a space between the physical and the intangible, in which acts of caring for sites and for the dreaming powers entrapped within them are rehearsed.
imagining landscapes is the second part of the project-series forms of togetherness and is developed by choreographer Julia Schwarzbach together with dancer Emmi Väisänen, dance historian/dramaturg Anna Leon and composer Alexander Bauer.
