In `B-side` Julia Schwarzbach invites her guests to an audio-sensory journey through overlooked, unheeded territory. Discarded materials and their sonic qualities become a meeting point for a mutual experiment, researching questions like: How can we hear and listen to things that seem to not have a voice anymore ? How do we listen to each other ?
While the previous work `loops and breaks` approached questions of participation and the blurring of line between performer and audience through overtly directive tactics of instructions and action, `B-side` uses a more intimate frame and subtle strategies to explore and perceive elements of performance between human and non-human players.
Bring yourself and open ears.
`B-side` played publicly at tanz_house Herbst 2013 Salzburg and is continued as a research project with various groups and guests
